  An incredible collector’s piece.

• ERA: GENUINE 1938-1942.
• SIZE: There is no label. The dress doesn't fit on our mannequin, which is approximately size 8, so is probably a size 6. Please go by the measurements of Bust/ Waist/ Hip (cm): / /. Due to its age, it would probably be best as a display.
• BRAND: No label. The hand stitching and cut edges indicate a handmade bespoke gown.
• COLOUR: Shot taffeta is woven with dual-toned threads that shift beautifully from powder pink to warm apricot in the light
• CONDITION: Very good structural integrity and fabric strength. There are minor, light vintage water marks so the gown is priced accordingly, to allow for specialised dry cleaning of antique fabric.
• COMPOSITION: Luminous changeant (shot) taffeta.
• FEATURES:  Architectural dropped V-waistline and dramatic structural hip flounces styled as faux pockets, heavily channeling late-1930s romanticism. A delicate matching flounce traces the sweetheart neckline, sleeveless shoulders and hem. A side-fastening placket with its original, hand-sewn closure system - a combination of press studs and a central waist hook-and-eye, designed to lay perfectly flat against the silhouette. The overall effect is so delicate, with a subtle glow...like springtime in moonlight. It is not lined.
• LOOKS GOOD WITH: Delicate, light-coloured accessories which don't overpower the gown. At over 80-years-old, display is a good option for a collector.
