Description

Please see the images, which form part of the description.
  • ERA: GENUINE 1960s.
  • SIZE: The label states "W", which means "Woman" or Medium-Large. This is equivalent to modern Australian sizes 14-16. Because they were worn loose, it could also fit a size 12.
  • BRAND: The label states "Peter Hoban Melbourne".
  • COLOUR: Rich, saturated colours of red polka dots on a navy background.
  • CONDITION: Good used condition. The red buttons are in excellent condition. The cotton fabric (but not piping) has been "sun-kissed" at the yoke - this VERY slight sun-fade is common from being line-dried in the strong Australian sun and the brunch coat has been priced accordingly. The label is faded and frayed. The brunch coat has been washed so is ready to wear.
  • COMPOSITION: The label states "Drip-dry cotton".
  • FEATURES: Cherry red facet buttons; matching red piping on the sleeves, pocket and yoke (two rows); capacious pocket, which has depth and is not flat like on an apron; a lovely retro colour combination.
  • LOOKS GOOD: Over a nighty and you are ready to receive visitors. As comfortable-yet-smart hospital wear or as a maternity dress. Brunch coats are now also worn as day dresses, with a belt to cinch the waist and top buttons undone.
  • GARMENT CARE: Cold hand wash, rinse then gently squeeze out excess water. Drip-dry on a padded coat hanger (the water's weight helps straighten it) out of the harsh Australian sun, to prevent more UV fading.
  • CODE: M-P-C
